Editor’s Notes

The long running saga of the overhaul of ‘The Flying Scotsman’ maybe be finally at an end. Unfortunately many mistakes have been made on the way with a proportion of the £3 million already spent having been wasted.

Another £¾ million has been found and this should complete the overhaul of the iconic steam locomotive. Ian Riley’s works has been appointed to return the Scotsman to full main line working order by summer 2015.

What great news, it seem that ‘The Flying Scotsman’, the most famous steam locomotive in the world, will finally be returning to steam.
