It might just loosen up once its used a number of times if not rubbing. The bezels twist off if you need to remove the glass.

Great sound...easy fit... you will love it....

  • Rick deOlazarra08 February 2014

Brilliant and simple; would've saved me a lot of grief if I'd thought of that when I did mine.

  • JE Carroll08 February 2014

Anyone remember the GTO driving shoe from Thom McAn?

  • Stephen Strange08 February 2014

    Bruce-
I agree with Ray. Borg & Beck is the way to go.

  • David DuBois08 February 2014

Stephen - This is the answer I posted on the Magnette site.
That looks like the grommet used in the grill shell of the T series cars, where the bracket for the headlight bar attaches. Doubt that it is used in the long list of other cars he lists it for (I know for a fact that it isn't used in the MGB or the Magnette).

You might try posting on the T series TD-TF bulletin board for more...

When I got my TD back in 1977 it was a basket case except for the engine which had supposedly been rebuilt. Just for safety I dropped the sump, fitted new big end bearings and rod bolts and put it back together. Been running nicely for 22,000 miles ever since. As the compression was OK never did take the head off.

Found this on the MG-t autos.team.net list from Douglas Ormond:

"On another topic: last month I replaced the original gearbox with a 5-speed
one from a Toyota corolla. This is a kit made in new Zealand by Rod Brayshaw.
